Protoconcept is a one-man business of me (Kevin Assen). Together with a network of specialists, I develop ideas into a proof of concept and prototype. In addition, I can fully relieve customers of the digitalization of their processes.

Technology has been my passion for many years, during which I have gotten experience into areas such as; telemetry, surveillance equipment, test tooling, web development, embedded (low-power) systems and the Internet of Things. Developing technical prototypes is something in which I love to use my creativity to design and develop concepts.

When deciding to realize an idea into a proof of concept or prototype, often several parties are involved; software developer, PCB designer, a 3d designer, etc. At Protoconcept I like to take this off your hands by taking on all development work for a Proof of Concept during this process.

As freelancer I can provide the following services:

• Embedded firmware development (C/C++/Python)
• IoT infrastructure design and development
• IoT device development; (Firmware, Electronics prototyping and 3D modelling + printing)

I specialize in developing embedded software/firmware, with a strong focus on bare-metal C. Additionally, I have experience with C++, Python and PHP. As a consultant, I am also able to provide advice and help set up and realize IoT devices and their associated infrastructure, from design to implementation.
